About Robert Nickerson

Robert C. Nickerson is Professor of Information Systems and Director of the Center for Electronic Business in the College of Business at San Francisco State University. His areas of specialization include wireless/mobile systems, electronic commerce systems, global information systems and technology, database design models and methodologies, and collaborative computing and groupware. He has published numerous research papers in these and other areas and has written a number of other research reports as well as articles for trade publications. Dr. Nickerson is the author of fourteen major textbooks on information systems, computers, and programming. His books have been adopted not only at universities and colleges in the United States but also at institutions of higher education in a number of other countries. Dr. Nickerson is a regularly invited professor at the University of Paris Dauphine and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis. He received his Ph.D. in Information (Computer) Sciences from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and his M.S. in Business Administration and B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California at Berkeley.
